The YORC SCARA Arm

YORC SCARA

High Load Capacity in a Small And Affordable Package

YORC's new SCARA arm is rating for 25 pounds of load, which is quite a lot for a robot of its size.

We use a novel leadscrew architecture which allows both motors in the leadscrew assembly to contribute to lifting the load. That's one factor enabling our high load capacity for the price.

This is less than half of our maximum rated load!

Plays Well With Others

Owing to the lightweight design and integrated overload sensing, the YORC SCARA arm is safe around people. In a properly designed workcell, it can operate without a safety cage and in close proximity with humans.

Circular Work Envelope

Our hollow shaft motors and gear reducers allowed us to simplify the design and pass the savings to you.

The hollow shafts also let us run the leadscrew - as well as power and data wires - right through the center of the motors. No belt drives here! The design results in a perfectly circular work envelope, which is something other SCARA's can't offer.

Most SCARAs have a limited work envelope

The typical SCARA can't fully extend behind its back. We can!

Easily Customizable

Since we use t-slot extrusions for the upper and lower arms, we can customize the reach of the robot to your specifications. T-slot also make mounting accessories and routing wires and hoses a snap!
